New Colombian Birding Adventures, coming soon

The Birders Show is back, with a new in-the-field series launching in December. We can’t wait to share our best episodes yet with our followers and bird lovers everywhere. Check out the series trailer above.

I’m very excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new series of The Birders Show, filmed on location in and around Cali, in Valle del Cauca, Colombia.

In this series, we explore the cloud forests of the Western Colombian Andes, the wetlands and dry forests of the Cauca River Valley, and the lowland Pacific jungle of San Cipriano. Along the way, we enjoy a few lifers (a surprisingly large number for me; lifers can be hard to come by during a shoot), world-class backyard birding, some of the most beautiful birds in all of Colombia, and even some urban birding in downtown Cali.

The breathtaking Toucan Barbet is just one incredible bird that will star in our new series of The Birders Show

Along with experiencing some of the best birding in Colombia (if not the world!), Diego and I also practice our salsa moves, learn how to cook some traditional Pacific recipes and ride the crazy brujitas into the jungle in search of adventure. These new episodes go even deeper into the magical culture of Colombia, one of the things that makes coming here in search of birds such an enriching and life-changing experience.

To keep up to date with all the launch dates for these three episodes, subscribe to The Birders Show on YouTube and follow us on all our social media channels.
